During the summer vacation from 2009 to 2010 I travelled to France as an exchange student. There, I attended a small art class and this was the very first artwork that I was able to create with the help of my weekly art classes. At first I was given a photograph of a young child and had to duplicate it to a scale four times the size of the original photograph. The colours were then added using pastels.
