This image shows the two artworks, created by Mueck and Banksy, that inspired the design scheme for this architectural space. This snapshot shows the spatial relationship between the artwork and the space it is displayed in.

Again, following the advice of my tutor, I further refined my original section sketches to create a more suitable architectural design for the task.
3D Development Model of New Section with Stairs
In the final 3D Develepment model, I decided to use Staircase Design #3 to transport people to the above ground floor and Staircase Design #4 to transport people to the below ground space.
The materials that I have chosen for this design scheme are glass/curtain wall for both above and below spaces and concrete for all other existing walls and structures.
Using advice from my tutor, I switched the above and below ground images from the original sketch, to create a more practical building space. The 3D model is based on this refined section plan where "angry" is represented above ground and "yearning" is represented below ground.
This photograph was taken on January 1, 2009 at Byron Bay. After a little over 2 hours driving to Byron Bay from Brisbane, we were met with a beautiful sunrise, the very first sunrise of the year, and I could have posted any of the photos taken on that morning as something beautiful, but this is just one example of the natural beauty of Australia's east coastline.
This photo was taken on the Christmas Eve of 2009. The building seen in the photo is a small part of the Paris Town Hall. Although I was interested in architecture before seeing this building, when I saw this building, I was amazed by the intricacy of the design and my interest in this field was reinforced.
During the summer vacation from 2009 to 2010 I travelled to France as an exchange student. There, I attended a small art class and this was the very first artwork that I was able to create with the help of my weekly art classes. At first I was given a photograph of a young child and had to duplicate it to a scale four times the size of the original photograph. The colours were then added using pastels.
